New Board Welcome Letter 2018

August 30, 2018

Re: Board Announcement

  • July 17, 2018 the current Wyndchase HOA Board of Directors are:
    • Troy Nelson – President
    • Jamie Vaughn – Vice President
    • Karen Skelton – Treasurer
    • Monica Lopez-Hagen – Secretary
    • Helen Jones – Member at Large

Wyndchase homeowners –

As most are aware, we have had a recent Change in Board Members.  After getting our feet under us with the initial transfer of information and paperwork, we want to bring a couple of items to your attention.

Covenants –

Every house/lot in the neighborhood is bound by covenants.  We thought it would be a good idea, as new Board members, to review and read these covenants.  We were surprised to find out that there are over 11 different covenant documents that pertain to Wyndchase.  These all are very similar in nature but do have changes that impact each section in a different way.

Each covenant located on the website along with a confusing plat map. I encourage each homeowner to locate their section and review it.  We are not lawyers but have done our best to go through every sections covenants and have tried to highlight the differences.  These will be posted on the website as well.

We feel that in order to best serve the Wyndchase HOA, there will need to be a time when we consolidate these covenants so we are all held to a single document.  Our plan is to make recommendations that will and review in a future meeting.

 Communication

The current Board could not access the old email address.  We had to create a new HOA email address.  The new address is;

WyndchaseHOAB@gmail.com

Since July 17th, we have not had a chance to review any emails sent to the old address. We will do our best to access them.  Please send all emails to the address above as well as anything you would like the new board to review if the prior correspondence was dated July 17th to current date.

Architectural Review Board

We need to establish new members on the Architectural Review Board (ARB).   This board is mentioned in the Covenants.  The primary responsibility is to approve major changes to homes.  Exterior additions and future pools would fall to the ARB for approval.  The goal here is not to deny anyone what they want, but to ensure these changes fall within the covenants.  It helps with consistency throughout the neighborhood.  If you would be interested to be on this Board please reach out to Karen Skelton either in person or the email above.

Becoming Chartered

I know there was a lot of concerns around this topic.  We are now reaching out to the prior board to see where they left off and where we need to pick up.  We plan to post updates on our progress via this website.
